With a commitment made for this lifetime, Nitin left for Pune. He was beaming with joy and happiness just like a teenage boy experiencing love for the first time and called up his school friend to convey the news. A week’s time was spent, regularly connecting over the phone like a couple this time for the pair. They both felt the pain of being apart. Nitin decided to come over to Bangalore, with the intention of knowing the future partner better and having more compatibility in real life.

They were together once again, between hustle and rustle of life, covid situation, they tried to fit their completely different schedule together.

Namrata was passing through a difficult phase at work then. While she was thrilled and enjoying every minute of Nitin’s presence in her life, 12-15 hours of daily IT work schedule and unreasonable demands at the office made her life miserable. Her inner perfectionist was happy and stressed at the same time, juggling the new relationship, new job, new feelings, and well, kind of many things new at that time.

Her Virgo man always had a positive and easy-going approach to life even in the most challenging situations. This, at times, irked her and a usual response would be – “Pyar se pet nahin bharta. You have to be practical” means “Love does not take care of one’s bills”

Nitin consoled Namrata in every possible way, may it be playing keyboard, helping in the kitchen or reminding her to smile often.

Once he sent a message to her –

“I love you Niky!

Time seems tough with so many changes around you and in your life.

Keep remembering that now we are together.

Pyaar Se pet nahi Bharta, par(Love does not take care of one’s bills, however) love brings harmony and make things better”.

Yours.. No one and Everyone

The pair met few of their confidants to declare their decision to be together. Nitin stayed in Bangalore for two weeks, before his return to Pune.

By then Namrata had determined to have him permanently shift to Bangalore at the earliest. Heavy-heartedly, Nitin packed his suitcase and wore one of Namrata’s unisex army print t-shirt as a souvenir. Namrata suggested that she travels to Pune a few days after and help him shift back to Bangalore, to which both agreed.

None of them really thought about an immediate wedding, though Namrata expressed her wish to be married either on Nitin’s birthday in August or on her birthday in December. It so happened that, while having a discussion with a mentor cum close friend; the possibility of an early wedding in mid-July came up. Both of them were far away, and shops closed due to covid; even buying an engagement ring seemed to be a difficult task. The stars were all favoring the couple and they were flowing in this journey effortlessly yet consciously.

While, With the ring measurements at hand; Nitin shopped for those at ‘Carat Lane’ during his work trip to Delhi, Namrata was preparing for her first-ever trip to Pune. Nitin picked her up at the airport and both headed towards his rented accommodation, quite closer to the airport. A clean freak and homely Namrata was impressed by the small den of her man. The kitchen pantry was overstocked, and the house had all the important items and was pretty clean as per her standards. Nitin had cooked “Poha” for breakfast so early in the morning. The fridge was clean and even had a container full of fresh milk cream ready to be churned into ghee/clarified butter. The next two days were spent packing and winding up at Pune, meeting a friend’s family, exploring the amazing apartment society “Amanora”, and sipping cold coffee at Nitin’s favorite Starbucks. To surprise Nitin, Namrata had baked a chocolate cake for him, to make the ring exchange memorable.

The clement weather at Pune, in the early morning, was welcoming them, for a 12 hour long road trip ahead. She, who had always disliked car journeys (as short as 10kms within Bangalore city), was all ready for the first-ever long drive from Pune to Bangalore in Nitin’s Ford sedan vehicle. They both did perfect teamwork while enjoying the drive, the early monsoon drizzles, passing by the beautiful western ghats, and having breakfast at Fairfield Marriott at Belgaum. With this, the short, sweet, and memorable stay of Nitin at Pune concluded.

Who says only a girl leaves her parent’s home after the wedding, to be with her spouse?

A man in love will travel any length to be with his lady. A man in commitment makes it happen to be together. A true gentleman is consistent in his love and care.
